Characters you type stay in the editor

• Characters typed while the editor is saving its snapshot stay. An edit from the agent, a reload, or a revert still replaces the document. Blame and diagnostics that have not changed no longer rebuild the editor on every keystroke.
• Search uses rg when it is on PATH, and the built-in walk when it is not. They agree on ignores, globs, and a bad pattern. A search that hits its cap stops reading. A file is not walked as if it were a directory.
• A burst of changes to the same file collapses to the last one, so the Explorer does not rebuild its list for every event. Ignored directories do not wake a rescan.
• Pasting an API key waits until you stop typing before the model catalog is fetched. A failed automation poll keeps the list you already have. File and git automations only watch the workspace they belong to.
• Chat tabs and working-panel tabs share one strip. The close control shows on hover, focus, and touch, and the scroll arrows appear only when the row overflows.
• A command that prints a lot keeps a bounded tail without recopying it on every chunk. After the command exits, a grandchild holding the pipe open cannot keep the run waiting. On a remote host, a stop or a status check is not stuck behind a long command.
