Release notes

A terminal stays with its chat

0.2.0-beta.127 · October 6, 2026

An agent could open or take a terminal that belonged to another chat, and the tab showed up in the chat you were looking at. A terminal now belongs to one chat. The agent only sees that chat's terminals, and a terminal it opens for another chat stays there.

Fixed

  • An agent only sees and uses terminals in its own chat. A sub-agent uses its parent's chat.
  • A terminal the agent opens for a chat you are not looking at is saved on that chat. It does not open a tab in the view you have focused.
  • Focusing a terminal in a chat makes that chat its owner, unless an agent currently holds it.

Vortex

You describe the work. Vortex plans, edits, verifies, and ships inside your workspace. The editor, terminal, diffs, and browser are how you watch and steer — not where you are expected to write the solution.
