Release notes
A chat keeps its name, and renaming stays out of your way
A chat could sit on "New chat" or "New agent" forever, and a real name could be replaced by that placeholder. The name now comes from your first prompt, decided by the store that holds the whole conversation. Renaming a file or folder also stops wiping what you have typed when you pause.
Improved
- A chat still called "New chat" or "New agent" is named from its first prompt, including one that has been sitting there since an older build. A real name is never touched, and a name the model wrote can still replace the prompt-derived one once.
- A long chat is named by the store rather than by whichever page of it happens to be loaded, so opening one cannot cost it its name.
- Renaming a file or folder keeps what you have typed. The name is selected once when the field opens, so the extension stays selected for a quick edit, but pausing no longer re-selects the field and wipes your work.
Fixed
- A rename made while only part of a long transcript is loaded can no longer replace a chat's name with a placeholder.
- A legacy "New chat" that was marked as a generated title is repaired instead of being treated as a name you chose.
