Native Browser with agent overlay

The IDE Browser uses macOS WebKit instead of bundled Chromium, and you can take over when the agent is browsing.

New

  • Embedded Browser is a native WKWebView that opens any http(s) URL, including localhost.
  • While the agent browses, a cursor and highlight overlay show what it is doing; Take control (Escape or ⌘⌥K) hands the page back to you.
  • browser_action can target a specific tab, open a new tab, or run a background headless surface.
  • Chat tool results show screenshot thumbnails you can open in a preview.

Improved

  • Dropped the Playwright sidecar, bundled Chromium, and Node runtime from the app package.
  • Cloud vision requests skip non-raster images such as SVG so models do not reject the turn.
