Finish the step you announced
A reply that only announces the next step no longer ends the turn. A reply cut off by the token limit continues from where it stopped. Live rows arrive once, and status text changes in place.
New
- When a turn ends by describing work it did not do, the run continues and asks the model to call that tool or give the answer. A helper-model failure accepts the turn. The same check runs in Ask mode. After repeated stalls the run stops as incomplete.
- A cloud reply cut off by the output token budget continues from the cut, including an OpenAI Responses reply marked incomplete for that reason. If the model keeps getting cut off, the run stops instead of looping. Reasoning that fills the budget before any text or tool call is still reported as a thinking-only failure.
Fixed
- A new row in a live turn rises in once, and a finished turn settles with a short rise. Status labels, checklist ticks, and diff counts change on the same element, so the turn is not re-announced. Opening a saved chat, or a row remounting as you scroll, does not replay those animations. Reduced motion skips them.
