Release notes

Ask once for browser reads

0.2.0-beta.90 · September 27, 2026

Console and network reads ask once for the current run. The close control beside a tab catches the click next to the X.

New

  • In Ask mode, reading the browser console or network asks once for the current run. Allowing it covers those reads until the run ends. Always allow, and Developer mode, skip that prompt. A blocked site is still refused. A blank page does not ask.
  • Settings → Browser no longer has a separate Auto approve mode. A saved Auto approve setting is Always allow, which covers sites, sensitive actions, and console and network reads.

Fixed

  • The close control on a file tab, Changes, Source, and a surface pill has a larger hit area and stays a pointer, so a click beside the X closes it.

You describe the work. Vortex plans, edits, verifies, and ships inside your workspace. The editor, terminal, diffs, and browser are how you watch and steer — not where you are expected to write the solution.
