Plan mode keeps its tools
Plan mode keeps search and read tools for the whole plan. Compaction stays at the point you picked, even when the answer allowance is large. A dead SSH connection is replaced instead of reused.
New
vortex statsprints why a run never finished, and groups backend request failures. Paths and numbers in those messages are masked.
Fixed
- Plan mode no longer strips search and read tools after a long investigation. A sub-agent in Plan mode can only scout or explore. An edit or review child stays blocked until Build.
- Compaction stays at the chosen point in the context window. A large answer allowance does not pull it forward. The summary, file reads, and search results grow with that window.
- A cloud request shrinks its output budget so the prompt plus the allowance fit the model's window.
- A dead SSH connection is dropped. The next call uses a new one, and the liveness check reports the drop once.
- A chat that lost its workspace folders uses the folders saved for that workspace, so a relative path still resolves.
- The agent closes every checklist item before it finishes, re-runs a check after a fix, and treats the edit diff as proof the edit applied. Correctness still needs the verification check. It may read a file again after an edit miss, or when the file may have changed.
