Release notes

Your chat history is saved as it happens

0.2.0-beta.116 · October 4, 2026

Messages produced by a run are now sealed into the local database as the run progresses, so the next turn can restore its history from durable rows rather than relying on a webview snapshot that may be stale or shortened. The live chat also applies those sealed updates to foreground and parked sessions.

New

  • Run-produced messages are persisted when a step or tool exchange is sealed, and are restored into later model history from SQLite. This preserves the conversation across restarts and protects it from the display transcript's retention limits.

Fixed

  • A later webview session save can no longer shorten or remove a message already sealed by the backend.
  • Sealed-message events update the matching foreground or parked chat; chats that are not loaded already have the durable row and need no replay.

You describe the work. Vortex plans, edits, verifies, and ships inside your workspace. The editor, terminal, diffs, and browser are how you watch and steer — not where you are expected to write the solution.
