Trimming old traces no longer freezes the app

0.2.0-beta.118 · October 4, 2026

The first-launch cleanup of old traces now rewrites a few rows at a time on its own database connection, so the window stays responsive while it runs.

Fixed

  • Cleaning old heartbeats, token streams, and tool images no longer holds the database long enough to freeze the app. The cleanup waits until the window has opened, then yields between each short step.

You describe the work. Vortex plans, edits, verifies, and ships inside your workspace. The editor, terminal, diffs, and browser are how you watch and steer — not where you are expected to write the solution.
