Ask about a recording

0.2.0-beta.156 · October 18, 2026

A recording you add to a message is now a proper attachment instead of a raw link. The agent gets a summary of it up front, so it can answer straight away.

New

  • A recording in your message is a chip with its length. Hover it to see the frames the agent gets. Click it to watch.
  • Point at a moment: "Ask about 0:13" in the Recordings view attaches the recording at the spot you paused on, and the agent starts there.
  • The agent gets a contact sheet of the important moments (or a terminal's screens) with the message. It only opens the recording itself when it needs a closer look.
  • Four ways to attach one: Ask in the Recordings view, drag a recording from the Recordings view or the chat onto the message box, the + menu's new Recordings section, or paste a recording link.
  • Sent messages show what they carried: files, terminals, mentions, selections, browser context and recordings, as chips.

Vortex

You describe the work. Vortex plans, edits, verifies, and ships inside your workspace. The editor, terminal, diffs, and browser are how you watch and steer — not where you are expected to write the solution.
