The agent reads code by symbol
The agent can now read a single function, method or class by name, and its searches show which symbol each match is in, so it re-reads less code to find its way.
New
- The agent can read one symbol by name (for example
Session::start), including its doc comments, instead of guessing line ranges. - Search results show the function or class each match sits in, and mark where a symbol is defined.
vortex statsreports how the agent navigates code: reads per edit, repeated reads of the same code, and how often it uses symbol lookups.
Improved
- Reading part of a large file names the function or class it falls in, with its full line range.
- Rust methods are found under their type (
Type::method) in code outlines and symbol search.
