Release notes
Split a pane by dragging
Drag a tab to the edge of the editor or a chat to split it. A terminal or browser keeps its session when you move it. Switching chats remembers where you scrolled until you quit.
New
- Drag a tab toward an edge to split that pane. Dropping it on another group's tabs moves it. A split copies the tab you were looking at, and a pane that would be too small refuses the split. The same gesture splits chats. Option-Command-Left and Option-Command-Right move between chat panes. The Split editor command is gone.
- A terminal or browser stays the same session when you move it between panes, and more than one browser tab can stay on screen.
- A chat open beside the focused one keeps updating. Switching chats remembers the scroll position until you quit. After a restart a chat opens at the latest messages.
- An empty working panel offers Quick open, files, a terminal, Changes, Source, and the browser, with your shortcuts.
Fixed
- Hovering a list glides one highlight between rows. Reordering tabs slides them into place. Reduced motion skips both.
- Reordering workspaces uses a wider drop zone at the ends of the list.
